It is for this reason that we have proposed that the feature of our next magazine be focused around animal rights/veganism and its relationship to other forms of oppression, where animal rights fits with these forms of oppression, how activists in these different movements can work together and where animal rights (and the community) may be reinforcing the oppression of other groups/the environment or failing to take the oppression of others into account. For example an analysis of veganism and class, animal rights and anarcha-feminism and indigenous struggles and traditional hunting practices.
It would be great to have peoples’ submissions around this topic, just anything you want to say or contributions for any of the other sections in the magazine. We want it all.
The other sections are:
* Books not Bombs (book, CD and zine reviews and excerpts)
* Activism and the (in)justice system (send us details of your brushes with the law and issues relating to prisoner support)
* Security
* Activist Toolkit (new section detailing useful tips for effective activism)
* Reports for the underground
* Letters to the community (short comments about the magazine, short replies to articles or a response to anything happening within the community)
Please send us your submissions, thoughts, art and/or ideas. We will try not to edit your writing but it may from time to time be necessary if it is too long.
Maximum Length for Submissions:
Features (A3): 1,300 words
